At Bleubird we’re more than just surface-deep. We firmly believe it’s what’s on the inside that counts. And that extends to our products too. That’s why our technical crew have dedicated hours in the lab engineering the inside of our SUPs. The result is our industry leading technology.
Our Technology minimises the weight of the board, but maximises stiffness – providing the rider with the ultimate stability & control when in use.
OUR TECHNOLOGY
The inner thread structure is first laminated with our high-density PVC thermoplastic polymer. This fuses the 1000 denier polyester weave of the substructure, ensuring optimum torsion stiffness under pressure once inflated. To this we then add our PVC outer skin, giving the board its airtight membrane. Those dimples you see on the outside of the board; these are thousands of threads which run inside our SUPs to give the board its shape and structure once inflated.
